Parents of Feltham children 'right to be terrified'

'If you were a parent of a child in Feltham you would be right to be terrified', the chief inspector of prisons Nick Hardwick told The Independent as he unveiled his damning report into the children's prison in south west London.

Regular premeditated inmate on inmate attacks were recorded by security cameras. Prison staff also said that incidents of 'extreme violence' were no longer referred to the police as they were reluctant to investigate them.
