New generation of tagging equipment 'boosts UK economy'

The Ministry of Justice has today announced the award of contracts to UK firms to manufacture a new generation of satellite tagging equipment for the monitoring and surveillance of people in the criminal justice system. They claim it will boost the UK economy and will help to 'cut crime, create safer communities with fewer victims and ultimately offer greater protection and reassurance to the public'.
