Moazzam Begg arrest politically motivated, supporters claim

Yesterday's arrest of Moazzam Begg, the former Guantanamo Bay detainee, is linked to his work exposing British complicity in torture and rendition, his supporters claim.

The Guardian reports that his arrest has been met with 'scepticism bordering on outright suspicion' among British Muslims. It also quotes Cerie Bullivant of Cage, an independent advocacy organisation working to empower communities impacted by the War on Terror:
