Dr Simone Deegan is an Australian Research Council Fellow at Flinders University, South Australia.
A former solicitor in the criminal justice system, her areas of interest are homicide and the impact of life sentences.
In 2024, Simone was awarded as a Young Tall Poppy for excellence in science and communication by the Australian Institute of Policy and Science.
Her current Winston Churchill Fellowship explores laws of complicity in the US and UK.
