Labour: benefits for vaccinations?

Monday, 23 September 2013

Parents will need to provide proof that a child’s vaccination records are up to date if they are to receive their child benefit payments under plans considered by Jon Cruddas, Labour’s Policy Chief, as a way to attach conditionality to benefits and services provided by the state. However, The Daily Mail reports that the other member of Labour party are seeking to distance themselves from the proposal, with Ed Balls, Shadow Chancellor, refuting the notion that the Labour Party will seek to punish those who do not vaccinate their child.
