Hillsborough: Resisting injustice, recovering truth

Some of us are hoping to hear Hillsborough campaigner and friend of the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies Phil Scraton speak at an event in London on November 27.

Phil is going to be talking about the two decade campaign for justice, pursued by many of the families bereaved at Hillsborough, that culminated in the appointment of the Hillsborough Independent Panel, of which he was a member. Drawing on the families’ experiences over two decades and on his own in-depth research into the disclosed documents he will show how the truth was exposed, the families and survivors were exonerated and the unprecedented investigations initiated.
