Diabetes is predicted to double within two decades

By 2025 there is expected to be 5 million sufferers of diabetes; the majority have Type 2 which is closely linked to obesity and an unhealthy lifestyle. The NHS is already using 10% of its entire budget treating the disease and so the charity Diabetes UK is making it their mission to educate people on the severe effects of diabetes and how it can be prevented. As reported by The Telegraph  a poll of 1000 people revealed that people are largely unaware of the complications associated with diabetes, they are particularly focusing on highlighting any risk factors and what to avoid and be particularly wary of.
