Advisers quit over alcohol pricing u-turn

Thursday, 18 July 2013

Cancer Research UK, the Faculty of Public Health and the UK Health Forum have withdrawn from the Department of Health's alcohol network in protest at the government's decision not to introduce minimum alcohol pricing. The network's co-chair, Nick Sheron, has also resigned.

Nick Sheron is also among a number of medical experts who have written to The Guardian, describing the government's decision as a 'disastrous' one that will cost lives.
