Burak Batuhan Karakus is Executive Director at Human Rights Solidarity
He is an international human rights lawyer, focussing on transnational repression, sanctions policy, and rule-of-law accountability.
He has contributed to parliamentary panels on state-sanctioned abuses and Magnitsky-style sanctions, and speaks regularly on justice and refugee protection. He leads human rights advocacy and research, works on implementing ECtHR judgments and UN submissions, including before the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, and supports prisoners of conscience through case-building and public education.
