What's wrong with this picture

We were struck by the contrast between two adjacent stories in today's Daily Telegraph.

First there are calls by a government adviser for families to cut the amount they eat by a third to avert a future food crisis.

Alongside it was this picture story on broccoli farmers throwing away their crops because a market glut means they can't sell the stuff.

Hmmm.
