Regional benefit levels mooted by government minister

A government minister has raised the prospect of variable benefit payments in different parts of the country, according to The Daily Telegraph. Mark Hoban, minister for work, told MPs:

'Particularly given regional wage rates, what is set at a fair level in London appears to be higher in other parts of the country.'
