Ban on car parking cameras and 'spy cars' considered in England

Communities Secretary Eric Pickles says he wants to 'rein in over-zealous and unfair rules' where, over the past five years as a result of fixed and car mounted cameras, more than 10 million fines have been issued totalling £301m. The BBC refers to a conservative party briefing which says using CCTV for parking enforcement 'is detrimental to natural justice'.
