In It Together - Ongoing Injustice

In It Together: The Joint Enterprise Podcast goes beyond the media headlines to explore how joint enterprise works, who it affects, and why campaigners are arguing that justice is not being served by these vague laws.

Presented by Maxine Peake, this episode looks at what joint enterprise is, where these laws come from and how its use has evolved over time. The episode focuses on one principle, ‘foresight’, and how it was wrongly applied in Joint Enterprise cases for over thirty years. Hear Felicity Gerry KC recount her involvement in the landmark case R vs Jogee at the Supreme Court and Christopher Richards shares his experience of conviction under joint enterprise.

The episode also features expert explainers from Professor Matt Dyson, Simon Natas (founder partner at ITN solicitors) and Dr Nisha Waller (author of the legal dragnet).

This podcast has been produced by EarWorm Productions and edited by our Head of Programmes Helen Mills in collaboration with JENGbA. It has been funded by the Institute of Now and the Barry Amiel & Norman Melburn Trust.
