Potential of violence reduction units "woefully unrealised"

Our work on knife violence was referred to earlier today in a House of Commons debate
Speaking this morning in a debate on knife crime in London, the Liberal Democrat MP Luke Johnson argued that the potential of Violence Reduction Units as “hubs of proactive action” against knife crime had been “woefully unrealised”.
Highlighting our work in this area, he added :
The Centre for Crime and Justice Studies tells me they fear it remains limited in its ability to engage with wider civil society and is still entangled in the paradigm of enforcement rather than engagement
