Dr Bronwen Frow-Jones

Dr Bronwen Frow-Jones is a trustee of the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies.

Bronwen qualified as a lawyer in 1989, first specialising in libel law. After completing a Masters degree in Dispute Resolution and Employment Law, Bronwen spent 18 years working in London as an employment lawyer.

An ongoing interest in the criminal justice system led to sitting as a Magistrate and taking a Masters degree in Criminal Justice Policy at LSE. This, in turn, led to Bronwen’s decision to join the Independent Monitoring Board at Wandsworth prison.

A move to Wales marked retirement as lawyer and the end of Bronwen’s ten year IMB role but the beginning of life as a PhD student researching prison staff wrongdoing at Cardiff University.
