Scotland Yard's commitment to root out corruption is questioned

Friday, 10 January 2014

Operation Tiberius, a report leaked to The Independent, has exposed the fact that 'scores' of officers were bribed by syndicates to provide them with information on surveillance and undercover techniques to enable them to avoid detection and prosecution.

The author of the report stated that, 'Organised crime is currently able to infiltrate the MPS at will.' Keith Vaz responded by saying: 'It is vital that the police have the utmost integrity. The public must be able to trust them to do their job and ensure justice prevails. '
