If you can answer yes to all of these questions we have just the thing for you.

We are partnering with the British Society of Criminology on an essay prize for students studying for a PhD at a British higher education institution.

Entrants are being asked to submit an essay of between 1,400 and 1,600 words on what criminal justice institution, or what aspect of policy or practice, they would want to see abolished.

The winning entry will be published in Criminal Justice Matters magazine. The winner will also receive a bursary to attend the British Society of Criminology Conference and the preceding postgraduate event, including accommodation and food. The Conference takes place between 10th and 12th July 2014 at the University of Liverpool. The postgraduate conference preceeds it on 9th July.
