Watch the video: Socially distanced justice webinar one

Thursday, 4 June 2020

This morning we held the first of three in our series of webinars tackling issues around socially distanced justice.

The speakers, focusing on the changes, practical challenges and consequences of social distancing in criminal justice settings were:

  • Fergus McNeil, University of Glasgow
  • John Podmore, former prison governor
  • Jon Collins, Magistrates Association
  • Pippa Goodfellow, Standing Committee for Youth Justice

We'd like to thank our speakers and the 140 attendees who had engaging and challenging questions and comments for our speakers.

Fergus McNeil's blogpost on penal surpervision during a pandemic was referenced during the webinar and can be accessed here
