Solitary confinement in UK prisons

An article in today's Guardian about the use of segregation in UK prisons draws on the Centre's work as part of the European Prison Observatory.

Our report, Prison conditions in the UK  is quoted in the article's opening paragraph. The European Prison Observatory is an eight country collaboration researching various aspects of imprisonment in Europe. Funded by the European Union, the Centre is the UK partner in this work.
