Solidarity with the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust

Our Director, Richard Garside, is one of 190 signatories to a letter in today's Times newspaper (subscription required) in support of the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust.

The Trust has recently faced pressure from the Charity Commission and certain parts of the media as a result of its financial support for independent advocacy organisation Cage. 

The letter affirms 'the right of charities and foundations to freely pursue their objectives within the law' and notes the Trust's 'long and distinguished record of support for important civil society work'.
