Many fear mortgage and rent arrears in 2014

Shelter commissioned YouGov to survey 4,085 adults - 3,675 of whom pay rent or mortgage in England, Wales or Scotland, the results showed that 70 per cent are already in arrears or are finding it hard to maintain their payments.

Chief Executive, Campbell Robb said that rising costs have created a 'nightmare scenario' for many families who now face the prospect of losing their homes this year.
