The malaise at the heart of the criminal justice system

In his latest comment piece our director Richard Garside unpacks claims by The Daily Telegraph that dangerous criminals are walking free from court.

A greater proportion of convicted lawbreakers are going to prison now than a decade ago, Richard argues. He concludes:
