Charlotte Weinberg joins us as a trustee

Monday, 1 June 2015

We are delighted to announce that Charlotte Weinberg, Executive Director of Safe Ground, has joined the Centre's board of trustees.

Charlie has led Safe Ground through a period of sustained growth and diversification including a focus on innovation, evidence and quality standards. She has previously worked as a youth worker and community arts activist. She also spent six years in Nicaragua, writing storylines for an award winning soap opera.

Reacting to her appointment, Charlie said,

'The Centre for Crime and Justice Studies does invaluable work in promoting a critical perspective of crime and attitudes to crime and policing in the UK.

'Disseminating and developing a public analysis around social harm, its prevention and impact is a significantly under-resourced area of work and I am extremely proud to join the Board of this innovative and challenging organisation.

'I very much look forward to supporting the team in their consistently impressive programme of work and to working as part of the leadership team to steer and safeguard the strategic vision of the Centre.
