Monday, 22 June 2015

The 100th issue of the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies' magazine, Criminal Justice Matters, is now available to view in full on our website.

Contributors to 'Criminal justice since 2010: What happened? What next?' includes key players in UK criminal justice policy including David Ford MLA, the Northern Ireland Justice Minister; Kenny MacAskill MSP, the Scottish Justice Secretary between 2007 and 2014; and Rt Hon Elfyn Llwyd, a member of the House of Commons Justice Committee between 2010 and 2015. The articles build on a conference held earlier this year as part of our UK Justice Policy Review project.

Also included in this issue are contributions from Jamie Bennett, Joe Sim, Robert Reiner and Barry Loveday on a notable event or topic from the last 100 issues of the magazine. Authors considered the films of Rex Bloomstein, Strangeways 25 years on, the rise and fall of British gun crime and policing. Rebecca Roberts reviews Maya Schenwar's book Locked down, locked out. Why prisons don't work and how we can do better.
