The winning photos were a part of this exhibition, exploring and challenging the conventional understanding of violence, environmental and financial injustice.

The judging panel was made up of high profile people bringing a range of expertise from the world of arts and academia, including photographers, criminologists, curators and even the award winning film maker Ken Loach! Details of the judging panel can be found here.
How the competition was judged
Entries were judged on whether they moved the panel and challenged thinking on what is harmful, unjust or criminal under each of the three competition categories. The judges selected a winner and runners-up in each of the three categories.
